The 1 Hour for Schools movement was created by PTO Today, in partnership with TeacherLists, EduKit, and School Tool Box.

As a long-standing resource for school parent groups nationwide, PTO Today is committed to strengthening school communities by supporting the volunteers who make them thrive. 1 Hour for Schools amplifies the need for engagement and volunteerism during the back-to-school season, when that support and momentum matters most. It’s parent volunteers who make the magic happen, and turn school into a true community.

TeacherLists, EduKit, and School Tool Box each bring trusted tools and solutions that make school life easier—from organizing supply lists and classroom needs to simplifying back-to-school prep for families. Their shared support helps power this initiative and expand its reach to 120,000+ K-12 schools across the country.
